Custom Computer Hardware

A custom built computer is a computer that is built to your individual needs and desires. Unlike mass produced computer systems that you find on the shelf of store chains, custom built computers use over-the-counter name brand parts. This means that if you want to upgrade your computer or replace a single part, you can easily do so with out the long process of being forced against your will to go through your proprietary computer's manufacture. Do not be confused with mass produced computer systems that claimto be custom built because they offer you a limited amount of options to choose from! 

You may choose to upgrade your existing computer because it saves money. Instead of having to buy a whole new computer, like you would with a mass produced computer, you only need to replace a few of the core parts that make the computer the speed it is.

Surprisingly enough, a custom built computer can cost as little if not less then a mass produced computer. This is done by either weeding out the programs and hardware you would never use anyway, or by using a few of your older parts from your current computer that work just as good as any new part. Mass produced computers are built with lots of proprietary short cuts. Take a look at a computer on a store shelf next time you visit your favorite electronic, or value store. Many brands of mass produced computers combine the sound card with the modem to cut cost. This causes many problems, especially when you want to replace or upgrade the sound card or the modem. Also you'll find that they build the video card into the main board, preventing you from ever replacing or upgrading the video card. This can present a problem should you ever have one of their video cards go bad. YOU'RE STUCK with a bad card. What's worse is that instead of the video cards having their own built in fast memory, they have to borrow your computer's slower type memory. Why do they do this? To bring the cost down and sucker you in.
